Welcome to my poetry site. In order for the poet to create a successful poem, the poet needs to first be receptive to that which he or she will ultimately create. In other words, there needs to be synchronization between the universe of creativity, and the poet, so as to create the poem.
The Universe of Creativity….the Poet….and the Poem
The poem
plucked out of the universe of creativity
the structure perhaps in place.
The poet’s mind
a receptor
like a television receiving radio waves.
A message emerges and a pattern appears
then to be arranged and carefully designed
like a quilter creating a quilt.
And then guided to play with words and structure
so as to fine tune
like a musician fine tuning a musical instrument.
The poet beckoned
by the universe of creativity
summoned to create the poem.
